The abode of St. John
The abode of St. John began forming in 1997, when religious community of St. John parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad was registered in Kiev.
Over the long history of its development at the monastery in Kiev five-stored monastery complex and the Church in the name of St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco was built (Tsvetuschiy lane, 18). With the blessing of the Bishop Aleksei on the basis of the monastery, charitable and social rehabilitation project "House of Diligence" in the name of St. John of Kronstadt began to be implemented.
In 2002, one of the parishioners of the parish donated a small house in Kiev region, the Small Soltanivka estate.
Gradually, through the efforts of the Bishop Aleksey, novices and brothers of the monastery of St. John, the Skeet of the holy and righteous Zechariah and Elizabeth of St. John Monastery began to settle.
